While the message says to wait up to 24 hours to complete the transfer however in our experience it happens instantly.

• Names must be entered exactly as they appear on their Marriott Bonvoy account.
• Both Marriott Bonvoy accounts must be in good standing and have each been open for at least thirty (30) days with qualifying activity or ninety (90) days without Qualifying Activity. Qualifying activity can be – completed paid stays, completed Marriott Bonvoy points redemption stays, Marriott Bonvoy points earned through co-branded credit cards, purchasing Marriott Bonvoy points, or transferring your credit card points to your Marriott account.
• The Minimum Transfer amount is 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points and transfers must be completed in 1,000 Point increments.
• You can transfer up to 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points per calendar year to another account.
• You can receive up to 500,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points per calendar year from other Marriott Accounts.

⚠️ Caution: Please note that transferring points from an inactive account may not be possible. In addition, if you transfer points to an account that is also inactive and not in good standing, the transferred points will be forfeited immediately
